  • Working as a poetry & short story teacher for Chisholm Institute;
  • Previously co-editor of literary magazine Going Down Swinging for seven years;
  • Co-presenter on 3RRR's spoken word show Aural Text;
  • Awarded residencies at KSP Writers’ Centre, Varuna & at the Melbourne Aquarium;
  • Previously weekly book reviewer on 3RRR’s Breakfasters
  • Presented a spoken word segment on JJJ’s Artery;
  • Previously working as a poetry and short story teacher with RMIT, NMIT and Sunraysia TAFEs;
  • Previously Chairperson and poetry mentor for youth arts organisation Express Media
  • Given workshops and lectures on creative writing at various TAFEs, Primary and Secondary Schools and libraries over the past 9 years;

  • In 2002 invited to Darwin by Australia Council to be part of the Riffs n’ Raves project

  • Judge of the Glen Eira Eastend Bookseller's Award (2007), Local section for the Greater Dandenong Short Story Award (2002) and Judge for junior poetry for Young Gourmet (2007).
ORGANISED
  • Co-organised the first ever national radio poetry slam on Radio National (2004);
  • Poetry readings at the Big Day Out 2003 (also performing in Melbourne);
  • Readings as part of the Melbourne Writers' Festival (1999–2001).

SPOKEN WORD
  • Performed regularly (over 350 times) since 1992 at a variety of venues, festivals including performances in the Melbourne International Arts Festival, Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, the Melbourne Writers' Festival, the Next Wave Festival, the Queensland Poetry Festival, Tasmanian Poetry Festival, the National Young Writers' Festival, Mildura Arts Festival and the Mornington Peninsula Writers' Festival;
  • Appeared on various spoken word CD anthologies;
  • Pieces commissioned by the Melbourne Museum and the Art Gallery of Victoria;
  • Won numerous slams and was winner of the 2006 Dorris Leadbetter Cup.
  • A participant in the Fringe Best Spoken word show 2001 for 'Me, I Like Football'.

RADIO
  • Have performed and been interviewed on JJJ, 3RRR, 774, 3PBS, 3CR, 4ZZZ, 2SER, 5UV, ABC Darwin, ABC Kimberley, ABC Hobart, 3AW and RN. Recently my work has been played on BBC radio in London and on Alternation in Los Angeles;
  • Have had reviews and an interview presented on Radio National's Book Show.
 
TELEVISION
  • Featured on SBS TV's Nomad program;
  • Interviewed for the ABC TV's Recovery program;
  • Have performed on Optus TV and Channel 31;
  • A contestant on The Einstein Factor;
  • Poet in Residence in 2006 on ABC TV's Sunday Arts.
